Kiss Blossom is a boutique resort development adjoining Garanduwa lagoon, Kamburugamuwa Sri Lanka. The site is bordering a lush green patch which is the lagoon reservation. This unique feature was advantageous to the project as the client was able to enjoy an extended greenscape. The design was done as two clusters of five bed room units, currently one such unit is complete along with other common facilities and services.
Since the natural context is so prominent in this project most of the detailing of the project was done on site. Especially the levels were carefully manipulated to get the best advantage of the site into the design. The design is a sequence of spaces that enables the user to have a unique spatial experience.
The pool is located at the center approached by a series of steps. The revelation of the water is a pleasant surprise to the user. The restaurant pavilion is approached by a further flight of steps and the garden beyond is at the lower level. The interplay of levels creates a harmony between all spaces creating a holistic design.
The typical bedroom wing consists of 02 ground floor bedrooms, 02 first floor bedrooms and one master suit at the top level with the best view.
The traditional fusion roof elements are key in creating this a conducive architectural statement rather than standing out, the concept was to make the natural context be louder than the built environment.
